About David

I was born and raised between the South Side of Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois. I came to DeKalb as a student at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in 1995 and returned to Schaumburg after graduation. I came back to DeKalb in 2005 when I was hired to work in the CHANCE Program at NIU.
I am also the Senior Pastor of Logan Street Missionary Baptist Church in Batavia, Illinois.  My greatest passion is to encourage, enrich, and empower people.

I have been in the DeKalb community for 13 years with my wife, Lisa Seymour, and our son David, Jr, who is a fifth grader at Brooks Elementary School.
